Lisa Sandel Police Women’s Foundation was founded in 2024 by the Dallas Police Women’s Association. It’s all about breaking barriers. Many female officers report that culture, childcare, and lack of funding for training and education are the main barriers to having a fulfilling career, promoting, or even becoming an officer. The DPWA has many projects to bust through those barriers, and the Lisa Sandel Police Women’s Foundation aims to fund training and scholarships to provide opportunities that would otherwise be missed.
Our mission is to fund training and scholarships to officers that might otherwise be unavailable to them. We believe a better trained and educated force will create a better work environment and in turn, more exceptional service to our community!
